The Caribbean is steeped in a fertile history of sailing adventure. Ever since the days of galleons and pirates the Caribbean has been host to some of the most luxurious sailing around. You will find on your vacation, in a relatively small area, an incredible amount of choice - thriving bars and Caribbean nightlife; first rate cuisine; spectacular white powder beaches; lush tropical rainforest; cloud-fringed mountain peaks; exotic birdlife; amazing diving and snorkeling and a serene blend of European sophistication and warm Caribbean hospitality.

Russell ansd Nataliya – we just wanted to express our thanks for a wonderful week in April.  We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed the amenities on the boat, the delicious meals, snacks and refreshments you provided, your recommendations for places to visit, things to do and where to eat.   We also admired your attention to our safety, well-being and comfort.  Simply put -- you are both amazing hosts!   We have great memories of relaxing on the boat, sailing the boat, snorkeling, swimming, finding treasures in the shops and walking the beaches  while we visited the islands of Tortola, Anegada, Virgin Gorda, Beef Island, Salt Island, Peter Island, Cooper Island, and Norman Island.   You provided us with our true “dream water vacation”.  As we have many more places to explore in BVI, we hope to start planning our next personalized adventure with you on
"Be As You Are" very soon.  Wishing you both safe and happy sails!

Brian, Desiree, Ken and Rose.

April 2012.

The Beneteau 473 is one of the most comfortable cruising yachts under 50', and is an ideal Caribbean Cruiser. She was designed by Groupe Finot who with this design offers a superb mixture of elegant stylish lines together with extraordinary interior space and performance. The 473 boasts a larger number of useful features and creature comforts than any other previous sail boat this size.

Layout

We chose this yacht, as it combines comfort, luxury and is truly a beautiful sailing vessel. 47 feet long, over 14 feet wide, and 3 full cabins with private heads (washrooms) attached. Designed to accommodate 4 guests at a time, (2 couples) plus captain and mate.
6'8" headroom throughout most of the yacht, great ventilation,
numerous opening hatches, spacious cocpit, and wide 'walk around' deck.

Full Galley including stove and oven, Fridge and seperate freezer, room to dance, room to lounge, and most importantly, room to relax!

Combine this, with an experienced Captain and Mate, and your week is sure to be "Stress free" and relaxed!

The main Caribbean sailing season runs from November through to July. The Caribbean primary high season is from mid-December to March, when the winter escapees from North America and Europe arrive in their greatest numbers.

As with many boating locations the Caribbean shoulder season, in this case from April to July, is also a great time to charter a boat as there are less shore based visitors, some lovely settled sunny weather, and warm yet steady breeze. The Caribbean is made up of many different multi-nation (and multi-cultural) volcanic islands.

There are amazing sailing grounds stretching from Cuba and Jamaica in the west, through the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, The Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands, finishing with Trinidad and Tobago off the coast of Venezuela, to the South.
